Sorry about my vague inquiry. Looking at the device now, I had a serious brain fart when writing my inquiry. Please allow me to start over. Firstly, it was the SIM card reader, NOT the SD card reader that wasn't working right. The device has 6 different slots.

I have the card reader connected by USB to my lap top. I bought the device to get pictures off my camera as well as my cell phone. The CF card that comes from my camera works splendidly. I was also able to use the SD card reader as well to download the photos from an old phone. Now, as stated earlier, I said it was the SD reader in the device that wasn't working..in actuality, it was the SIM card reader that I couldn't get to respond. Sorry for that mistake..I was quite frustrated evidently.

When I inserted the SIM card from my phone, into the Card Reader device, the LED light on the reader blinked a couple times, but didn't respond. When I tried my wife's SIM card from her phone, I got the same result, so I'm pretty sure it's not my SIM card.

I have never been able to use the SIM card reader slot for this device. I do know I'm using the right slot, as it is labelled SIM. As to whether it is compatible otherwise, I don't know how to determine that.

External usb card reader wont read anything above 2 gb cards my computer is running vista home premium 64-bit. When i plug my digital concept 51-in-1 card read/writer the computer will recognize it, if I put in my 1 or 2 gb micro sd it will see it. I insert a memory card into the 51-in-1 card reader/writer, then i plug the usb cable into my dell/windows xp professional and nothing happens. Do i need a driver or something and where can i get one? I am a computer beginner.

I am able to pull up the pictures in my cell phone, but that's irrelevant as it doesn't even seem to identify when I put the SIM card into the reader. Crappy POS from China, I guess.
