- A good open source parametric modeling tool is FreeCAD. It allows you to import and export a variety of files including STL, DAE, OBJ, DXF, STEP, and SVG. Because it is a full-service CAD program, you can design from the ground up as well as adjust designs. It works on parameters, and you adjust designs by adjusting those.
- Wings 3D is a comprehensive CAD program available in many languages. You can import and export many file formats including STL, 3DS, OBJ, SVG, and NDO.
