You need to download the Kindle app for your iPad, and also, on the Amazon Manage My Kindle page, add your iPad to the list of devices that you have registered for download. Once you have done that, then you will be able to get your Kindle book on the iPad. If you have an iPhone, you can do the same thing. Also, on the Amazon Manage My Kindle page, check the sync all devices so that the last page read will be the one that comes up regardless of the device you are reading on.
